This is the official application for Bryggens Museum, which allows you to access in-depth information on select artefacts and subjects, as well as to listen to a series of dramatized scenes about life in the middle ages as you move through the exhibit.
Bryggens Museum is a medieval archaeological museum in the heart of Bergen, which is built on the location where the city’s largest archaeological excavations took place from the 50s through the 70s. The museum is home to over a thousand artefacts from this and other excavations, and our exhibit tells about all the aspects of the lives of the people who lived here in the middle ages.
The museum is part of The City Museum of Bergen, while the artefacts belong to the collection of the University Museum of Bergen.
